Dick LeMasters_March 2013
Dick LeMasters was born and raised in Texas, and grew up listening to what was then called progressive country. Artists such as Jerry Jeff Walker, Steve Fromholz, and Ray Wylie Hubbard are major influences from that time. More recently, Steve Earle, Paul Thorn and Fred Eaglesmith have been important to LeMasters’ songwriting style.
Dick LeMasters on Reverbnation
In 2009, LeMasters formed the band Longneck Road in Beaumont, Texas, to perform his original music. The band has reached several milestones in its short history, opening shows for The Charlie Daniels Band, Ronnie Milsap, John Anderson, Chuck Berry, Wayne Toups & Zydecajun, and Django Walker. Longneck Road also performs at events and festivals in and around Southeast Texas. On April 6, 2011, LeMasters performed a solo acoustic show to open for Paul Thorn at Courville’s in Beaumont, Texas. On April 28, 2011, Longneck Road opened for John Anderson and Ronnie Milsap at the Hats Off to Industry event in Winnie, Texas.
Dick LeMasters is available to perform as a solo acoustic act, with Longneck Road as a full electric band or with Longneck Road in an “un-plugged” format. Although the focus of all of these projects is to perform original music, any of these lineups is also suited to perform cover material depending on the needs of the event or venue.
