An old Albert Collins documentary had quoted “….the blues is all about feelin’ good ’bout feelin’ bad…”. Jennifer B has lived and is STILL living that life. A two-time cancer survivor, has shared the staged with BB King, Buddy Guy, Levon Helm, Van Wilks, Carolyn Wonderland, David Allan Coe and many others. Her rich, powerful, gut-wrenching voice, smacks of deep, warm ethnicity. Her high-octane stage performance, has endeared many, while grabbing at their hearts and smearing their ears with sassy, soulful blues, R&B, roots rock and blues rock. Some have whispered, Janis, Etta, Aretha, Beth Hart ?? Also a great songwriter working on her third CD.

The band comprises Nick Boettcher, guitar/slide, vocals, songwriter, arranger, one of Austin’s most talented musicians, (Berklee College of Music) . Adrian Myers, drums, percussion…again, one of Austin’s most talented musicians, (Berklee College of Music). Dr D, bass, vocals, has shared Antone’s stage with Pinetop Perkins, Bob Margolin, Hubert Sumlin, Van Wilks, Lavelle White, Alan Haynes, Gary Clark Jr, studio recordings in 90’s with Johnny Winter, Uncle John Turner (many gigs with UncLe John and late Joe Kelly), once owned a record label.

Jenn B & Groove has a new CD out, Back To Him, featuring these fantastic musicians as well as Van Wilks (4 tracks). They took the CD and themselves to the lovely city of Memphis, TN this January 21-25 for the International Blues Challenge where they shared their love of the blues with the good folk from around the world!
